Verizon releases new Storm software OTA

Storm owners finally have something to cheer about. Starting today Verizon Wireless is finally pushing out an OTA (over-the-air) update for the Blackberry Storm. The software being pushed put is 4.7.0.141 and is currently only available as an OTA update. Dont bother trying to manually installing this update just yet because it is not available any other way at this time. The software is expected to become available for download (on damand) via Blackberry Desktop Manager/ Verizon Wireless website/ Blackberry website in the upcoming days! The software is expected to fix major issues including speed and stability.

Update: this has now been confirmed by several sources.

Update 2: It appears that the software OTA is only available internally to “select” people and should become available in the coming weeks. The software has now leaked and is available at crackberry.com
